Short or long action?

It's a short action, take off from my rimfire b14r, still has the pillars just like their high power stocks cuz it is the same stock

There’s something crazy good about these stocks, comfortable even in prone, they shoot fantastic and the price is great too. I guess just drop in a barreled (Remington Varmint profile) Remington SA.

Yeah they just don't work for too well for prone sling shooting

Would the stock hold a m40 or m24 barrel profile ?

Not sure what that profile is, but the barrel channel diameters are:
1.380" right in front of the lug
1.15" about 2" in front of the lug
1.03" about 6" on front of the lug
1.08" at the end of the forearm
