I picked up a lightly used bmr. It shoots great however it has a pretty snug bolt close while feeding from the magazine. I can push the round in chamber with my finger no problem. It’s as if it needs a small chamfer leading into the chamber on the bottom side would that harm anything ? Next when the bolt is pushed forward the very moment it’s pushed down to close it pops pretty loud and the cocked indicator moves a good bit. Is that normal for these rifles ? If I cycle it kinda fast it’s not really noticeable but the hard bolt close or feeding issue keeps me from cycling it like that. As I understand it the rifle has a match chamber the rifling does engrave the bullets but the feeding issue is a long ways before bullet is fully inserted

Edit. I have tried Norma tac 22 and cci sv both have the same snug bolt close or feeding problem

Mine is the same as yours and with several thousand or more rounds down mine I believe it's normal.
Its probably a combination of the extractor climbing over the rim of the case and finishing cocking.
If you feel the need for a chamfer you could probably get away with a little, but be careful. If there is no feeding issue as mine has none, I wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

I would just put a little sandpaper on a small round file and hit that edge just a little bit. Once it’s in and closed when you remove the round the bottom of it is rubbed pretty good. Your pops pretty loud when you start to close the bolt down ?

I haven't noticed this issue with my BMR. I'll have to pay more attention next time I shoot it
It’s almost not existent if you cycle the bolt with a little authority. If I try to ease it it rear its ugly head
