Bergara B14R

I own both a 22 LR and 17 HMR in the B14R Steels. I have done trigger replacement (Timney "Hit" set at 8oz.), bedding and lapped the rings so far for basic accuracy work. I'm already preparing myself for other work to be done. I notice aftermarket pre-fit barrels are being made for the LR but I can't find any for the HMR. Also, is there anyone that is specializing in the B14's?

Also, if anyone has experience with these rifles, what all have you done to improve it?

Before you rebarrel it you should try one of Harrell's Tuner/Brakes on it, Mine shot ok, put the Tuner/Brake on and it went to shooting one hole groups at 50 yards, Shot it long range until I got my Vudoo and it kept up with the more expensive guns, I think they run about $115, Can't find better people to deal with...

Did the barrel replacement get you a significant gain on target?

Without reloading/ custom components your still at the mercy of the lot numbers.

I have the B14R steel barrel. I sanded the paint off the bedding/pillar area, put in a Jewell @4oz and an ATS tuner.

This is what I got from Center X - 5 shot groups at 50 yds.

And Pistol King finalizing the tuner setting.

It shoots decent. You may not see much improvement if rebarreled unless a quality barrel is fitted by a very competent smith.
