It will lock the bolt back. Push it than pull the bolt back and bolt will lock open. To close the bolt, press the bolt release button on the side of the receiver.
I have shot a Benelli SBE-2 for the last 13-years. My guess is that I have shot over 10,000 shells through that shotgun and have only replaced one part on that shotgun so far. GREAT Shotguns.

It also releases a shell from the magazine so you can cycle it into the barrel. So is this a wood stocked super black eagle?

Put shells in the magazine, push the red button (itll let a shell out of the mag), then cycle the bolt. Unloading is the same way. Ive hunted with benellis since that gun was $2000 and nobody had ever heard of them

The only use.... I still shoot my super 90 montifeltro with the HK name on it 1988. Still a great gun

They are Italian pieces of junk and should come with a plate of linguine.

It's a magazine cut-off button. First thing you should do is obtain an instruction manual and then read it.
