ShotMarker vs. Android tablet-2025

I don't have a lot of experience with android, and it's showing.
I'm using a Lenovo Tab One tablet and can WI-fi to and use my ShotMarker no problem.

Has anyone successfully created an Icon (Tab or whatever Android calls it) on the home screen?
This would speed up setup a little bit. I have followed the suggestions found on the web, but getting nowhere.
Thanks.

You should be able to set the home page to the address when you open up your internet browser after connecting to wi-fi.

* access shotmarker through your browser (probably chrome)
* tap the 3 vertically aligned dots (upper right of browser)
* menu should appear with an option towards the bottom labeled "Add to Home screen"
- tap that option
* a dialog box should open up titled "Add to Home screen" with option to name the shortcut
- tap "Add"
* shortcut should now be on your home screen

That did it. Thank you.
As I age, I think my skull gets thicker.

Now I'm trying to get BLANK wall paper. Like Black, or one color that the icons stand out against, better

Settings > Display > Wallpaper

your device may not have a black background available from the initial install in which case you'll need to either download a black background (google "black background jpg" and then download) or take a picture of something black and you can set your background to that picture.

Just wondering. Will changing to dark mode accomplish the same thing. ? I will be attempting the same with Longshot cameras. Any type of hood that will eliminate the glare.

Thank you

Dark mode is designed to stylize apps more so than your home screen. It's easy to try and revert if it's not what you're looking for: ( Settings > Display > dark theme )

You have any suggestions as to a sun shade to cover the tablet to block reflection and un wanted light.
Was @ a range a while back about mid morning, guy had a Long Shot cam set up, could not get a good picture on the tablet screen.

Thank you.!
