Benchtop Tripod?

I have an Athlon Argos HD spotting scope and it weighs 70oz's. Looking for a very sturdy benchtop tripod or mount of some sort that can handle the weight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

get a ball head of some sort then go to home dep... & get a pipe clamp ball head to pipe clamp then clamp on bench. no prob-- w/the wind. good luck. beak

I have and don’t use a tripod anymore. It took up too much room on and off the bench. I went with an adjustable pipe clamp mount (wood working) with a piece of metal conduit. It’s adjustable for any bench and rigid. It fits my needs and style of shooting.

I use a woodworking (Jorgenson) flat slide bar clamp, comes in varying lengths, and window mount. I use a Bosch & Lomb Discoverer 15 to 60, long and heavy.

Made this awhile back for shooting indoors with handguns. Use it a little outside. Our outside range only goes to 150yds,with the 100 yd target being the most shot up. The varmint scopes are sufficient for seeing bullet holes.... but, every once in awhile it gets used.
