Benchrite vs Lucas bore guide

Never used either benchrite looks as if it's in stock for immediate shipment. Is there a clear advantage to one or the other? Thanks for opinions. For what it's worth I'll be using it on a Remington 722 chambered in 6ppc with a Dewey 22 rod

I don't think it makes a difference . Any cleaning rod that is pushed down the bore is going to contact the bore from flex and gravity . Larry

I'm not familiar with Benchrite. I have a dozen or more Lucas boreguides and I can tell you that Mr Lucas does a great job. Larry is right, any rod will have some flex. Mike helps limit it to as little as possible by getting the diameter of your rod and your action info and making the bore guide work with your rod and action. Personally I think it helps.

The benchrite looks similar to a Lucas. How long did it take for you to get your Lucas? And what did it cost?

I contacted Mike and made three or four different orders over a years time or so. I was quoted 3-4 weeks, sent funds and received them earlier than quoted each time. He used emails as orders, I confirmed they were right and the process began. Very professional fellow. I had to take a couple measurements on the bolt on a couple of them.

The
PMA / Benchrite bore guide is a very well made product just like the Lucas is a very well made product.
So it comes down to how fast you need it.

That's basically what I was getting at. I'd like to get one asap but if the Lucas is better I will wait on it.
