Ok folks I know I saw a cartoon drawing of a benchrest shooter shooting off a rickety bench. Think he was wearing overalls and was drawn in a hillbilly fashion. Well for the life of me I can not seem to find it anywhere and was wondering if any if you folks might know what I am talking about.

Thanks everyone
Matt

I thought this was an IBS thing but then Wayne Campbell showed my an NBRSA item with the same design on it. I may have saved that picture and if this one doesn’t float your boat, I’ll look deeper after the weekend.

Matt, didn't know about the "drawing".. but when i was reading your post, it reminded me of this

Curious FB. He removes his glasses left handed, true.
He motions, gesticulates and throws the pen/pencil down right handed.......right?

I saw an interview w that actor when asked about how that scene had been co-opted. He wasn't grinding any axes but mentioned how much time and work went into it.
After seeing that interview, I have a greater appreciation of the quality and depth of his portrayal. Masterful, imo.

Not what you were looking for but similar. This was on the Lock, Stock and Barrel in Valentine, NE quarterly mailer before the internet days.

That was the drawing I am looking for.
Does anyone have an actual drawing of it?

That's been around since I started shooting in 1978. Fletcher Williams, The Mouth of the South, gave me, might not be correct as Fletcher never gave anything away, some stickers that looked like that.

Regarding the Precisiom Shooting patch at the top. I was secretary at the St. Louis Benchrest Rifle Club for about 18 years starting in the early 1980's and had all of the past records in my possession, there was a very old letter in the files wriiten by way of a typewriter and signed by Crawford Hollidge (sp?). This was originally designed by him. This letter was a receipt for $1 from him giving our club the right to use this picture on our club patch. I do not remember the date on the letter.
