Benchrest Classification

For all you Benchrest folks. How do you earn a Classification. I have looked all over the net and can't find the information. What percentage (%) of a score equals a certain Classification (HM, M, E, SS, MK) or is there no such animal in Benchrest. It is my job to post scores for our non-registered 200 yard Benchrest for Score shoots at our club.

IBS, NBRSA, and GBA have no such thing. Go to the IBS site and click on the news tab. You will find the current rankings that vary year to year. They are not permanent. There is also a Hall of Fame for each organization.

Agreed, no such ranking that I know of in BR. In IBS, rookie status lasts for two years though. fwiw
Might just be short range score. Not sure if they are that way in long range or group.

Back in the day, the I.B.S. score shooters, then called Hunter class was separated into three categories, Master, Hunter and Marksman. It was done to give the newer shooters a chance at a little Hardware and a goal to reach the next highest class. My My that was a long time ago.
