Benchrest 22 lr rifle ?

The 2500s are proven as is many others..I myself am waiting until Vudoo releases there’s since I have stocks already bedded for that action. If it’s as good as their repeaters it will be hard to beat.

what rifle would you guys recommend for 22 lr bench rest at 100 yds ?

Will it be just for shooting at 100yds. and not intended for competition? any good solid action will work, Anschutz, Win. 52, Rem. 40x. BSA Martini's were made for 100yds. shooting.

I assume group shooting? a good quality barrel and chamber matched to the ammo you intend to use will be a big factor. then lot test for ammo that shoots at 100yds. as a lot that shoots at 50yds. may not hold up at 100

Do you have any benchrest experience? It has a looooong roe to hoe to be competitive let alone hard to beat, as was it’s father the 40X

I shoot a monthly 100/200yd match at our local range against some seasoned veterans with worthy old school hardware. Anschutz, Rem 40x's. Win 52's, Stevens, Kimber Oregon's, Cooper's, etc. My Vudoo ranked well in my first year shooting CCI SV & SK Std+ considering who's pulling the trigger. Barrel, trigger, ammunition, rests, and shooter play such a critical role in rimfire accuracy it is very hard to compare apples to apples. I do know the Vudoo allowed me to be competitive against some good seasoned shooters using proven hardware.

Zero..but I did stay in a holiday express one time.Tim I guess time will tell on the new Vudoo action, that’s why I said the 2500s are proven right out the gate as many others and if Mike gets it right like he did on the repeater it will be a excellent choice.

My Vudoo regularly wins matches against Anschuetz's Cooper's Sako's Brno's and the best stuff out there. I've got about 3 years competition experience going against guys with 20 and more years so it's mostly the gun doing the work

I have no doubt their single shot will be competitive with the 2500x, 40x etc. I would buy it with 100% confidence.

But from the sounds of the conversations and stuff I hear direct from Vudoo it will be a year or 2 before it's released.

Hopefully Vudoo will show up here and correct me if I am wrong.

Kimber is a good flat bottomed forearm rifle.
I had an Anchutz silhouette shooter It was ok.
The 40x's & CZ's dominated.

Bullet selection & the rest used made the difference, imo

I started with a Cooper TRM Benchrest Rifle that shoots as good as my custom built 2500X based rig. Still have the Cooper though it does not get much use anymore. Sot it at 200 yards also with a change of bases.

mike is a very capable, bright guy and he could do OK in that environment.
Let‘s remember this is still, at the end of the day an evolution of a platform that has been around 50 years.
It may very well be competitive, I wish him well and have told him same, “hard to beat”, that there is another world entirely and a pretty tough one.

Understood..when I said hard to beat I didn’t mean as far as it will set the world on fire just a lot of options as far as it being compatible with a lot of 700 stocks,triggers...parts.

The BR action is very close to being released and you can contact Paul or Jill at Vudoo and get on the list.
