Bench top rifle cleaning rest?

Looking for a solid, longer (to securely clean 28" long rifle barrel) benbchtop, portable, rifle cleaning rest / vise. Prefer to be able to strap / secure down both rifle butt and stock fore end.

Anything commercial out there? Or ya build your own?

Pics be great. Thanx.

There is the PMA dual or triple rifle stand, and then there is everything else.

Quite few years ago I bought a Lyman rotating gun vise. Bolted it to my cleaning bench. Made my own fore end piece to accommodate up to 4” fore end.
Wasn’t much money at all and works flawlessly for me. Rotating feature is handier than I thought.
I would never be happy unless any type was secured to the bench but then I have a bench that is only for cleaning, mounting scopes, etc.

PMA without a doubt. I've owned a number of them and nothing beats the PMA for me. It's simple, crazy effective and easily disassembled for travel if need be.

I will add that I was skeptical something so small and seemingly light could be that effective, until I tried it...

PMA Is my vote. Simple and effective tool. I have both short and longer versions. I personally like the 22” long version which fits my FTR setup just nice. Easy to travel with and great on the bench. good luck with your decision, Jeremy

Looked at a couple of cleaning rests my friends used. My Caldwell Lead Sled works better for me. I put a spacer on the front bolt to prevent tipping with a heavy target barrel. Piece of foam under the butt to raise the butt for cleaning rod clearance. Tie the butt down. Barrel is angled down perfectly. Very solid.

Do the same thing but with the Duel Tube sled and a couple bags filled with lead shot(used air gun pellets) to anchor it. Works great for home use.

Beautiful rifle! Post some more photos.

I use tipton ultra gun vise. Works well for me. Adjustable and very solid on the bench.
