Bench top pad?

Does anyone know of a source for a bench top pad? I have seen some in videos and a few at local shoots, but can't find any on line. Thanks in advance,

Are you looking for something to catch brass like Dusty recommended or just a pad like a mouse pad?

I have been using a large mouse pad (17.75" x 15.75") on the bench and it is just the ticket for me.

edgewood bags makes a real nice leather bench mat too. little too nice for me i'll keep using the billy towel. it stores easily and you cant tell in the picture but its "L" shaped and goes underneath your rifle between the front and rear rest as well as on the side to catch brass

After I got some recommendations from you guys I saw that. I'm like you, I think I'll stick with the the towel or mouse pad.

indoor outdoor carpet thin what I use works perfect, for loading bench, shooting bench i use a brick bag

I used some left over rubber roofing to cut a bench sized pad. I roll it out and set up everything on top of it. It's only about 1/16" thick, but it's a tough rubber. I screw the spike feet of my rest into it and it doesn't move or compress. Most roofing supply companies have it and it's fairly cheap for a 4' piece.

Which bench, shooting or cleaning?

For shooting, since our range has poured concrete tops, I got indoor/outdoor carpet and cut it to just fit. After I made a small mark on a S&W revolver target grip, I said never again.

For gun cleaning, I use the Tipton 16" X 54" padded mat. Good cushioning, solvent resistance, but doesn't want to lay real flat.

If it's to catch fired cases, a small pet bed ($ 5 at Wally World) is popular at local shoots.

Or are you looking for a pad to put under your rifle rest? If that's the case, I've got a lot of leftover silicone rubber matting left from when we used to sell it for that purpose back in the late 90's along with our BR Pivot.

If that is of interest, let me know and I'll make you the 'deal-o-the-day' on as much as you may need. :)

I realize I wasn't specific enough. I'm looking for a pad/mat to put on a concrete shooting bench, for comfort. Not concerned about catching cases, or anything like that. I think I now have what I need. Thanks again,

those have to be the worlds worst benches for catching brass. denton tx has the same benches. nothing breaks your concentration quite like your fine BR brass jingling toward a rolling stool next door.
