After I got some recommendations from you guys I saw that. I'm like you, I think I'll stick with the the towel or mouse pad.edgewood bags makes a real nice leather bench mat too. little too nice for me i'll keep using the billy towel. it stores easily and you cant tell in the picture but its "L" shaped and goes underneath your rifle between the front and rear rest as well as on the side to catch brass
Does anyone know of a source for a bench top pad?
I realize I wasn't specific enough. I'm looking for a pad/mat to put on a concrete shooting bench, for comfort. Not concerned about catching cases, or anything like that. I think I now have what I need. Thanks again,Or are you looking for a pad to put under your rifle rest? If that's the case, I've got a lot of leftover silicone rubber matting left from when we used to sell it for that purpose back in the late 90's along with our BR Pivot.
If that is of interest, let me know and I'll make you the 'deal-o-the-day' on as much as you may need.![]()
Which bench, shooting or cleaning?
For shooting, since our range has poured concrete tops, I got indoor/outdoor carpet and cut it to just fit. After I made a small mark on a S&W revolver target grip, I said never again.
For gun cleaning, I use the Tipton 16" X 54" padded mat. Good cushioning, solvent resistance, but doesn't want to lay real flat.

That mat looks good, but I'm going to try the $10 one I have coming. That PMA mat looks like the ones I've seen before.Patrick Reagan, PMA tool has a nice one that I saw at the super shoot and have seen a few more guys using it at the Cactus.
