Anybody have any experience with an Edgewood bench cover/pad like the one shown? If not for a bench what is the intended purpose? Seem like I remember seeing such a thing years ago but …… Edgewood does show this anymore.
It's for benchrest shooting, goes in front of the rear bag and behind the front rest. The sand filled edges help keep it from flapping in the wind and keeping empty cases from rolling off the bench. From the shape, I'd guess that Edgewood made it to a custom shape that someone sent them, most I have seen are square shaped. I use a cut up piece of carpet and a rolled up towel on my bench setup.
I seem to recall seeing those for sale as recently as 3 or 4 years ago. May have been someone other than Edgewood though. I just use a towel laid out around the rear bag to rest my elbows on. I don't run an ejector so brass running away isn't really a problem.
