Bench rest light gun

I have a 12lbs 6PPC at the moment it and was thinking about rebarreling it into a 6X47 for the longer range game. Action is a Bat and it's glued in is this a problem?? I bought this gun complete and have NO knowledge about glued in actions so I am completely lost.

That should not be a problem, the barrel should just unscrew from the action.....
If you want it unglued, apply some heat, or pop it in the freezer overnight...

Which 6x47? The .222 mag. case variety or the 6.5 x47 Lapua derivative.....either way the bolt face may be an issue. The .220 Russian uses a .440 case head.
FWIW a light varmint (LV) gun in SR BR can only go up to 10.5 lbs....yours would be considered a heavy varmint (HV) which has a 13.5 lb. limit.

dang, forgot about the case head. I am gonna have to do some real thinking. where I shoot 12lbs and under is light gun and it is 1000 yard silhouette. Gotta make it something with enough snot to get there.

Should not be a problem. The 6X47 Lapua that I am shooting at that match, was originally a 6ppc. It is glued in...................you know who did the work. Just re-barreled and opened up the bolt face. Jeff's is the same.
