Bedding

I’m looking to bed a couple stocks and a few chassis. Never done any before. There’s a ton of videos on YouTube. Looking for a recommendation on a video that shows the correct way and is pretty detailed. Thanks!

Before you work on more expensive stocks / chassis, it'll be well worth your while to buy an old wooden stock or two for one of your barrelled actions and practice a bit.

Recognizing the criticality of bedding for precision shooting is wise. It took me awhile to recognize this fact wasting time, components and barrel life trying make a rifle shoot to my standards. Once I discovered the importance of bedding it made my shooting life so much more pleasant and economical.

Doing it yourself is commendable but I chose to use my local smith do to it who is an expert. I can't remember the exact price he charged but it was somewhere under $100. It's an alternative you may want to explore if you have a local smith, you trust or a local shooter who has experience who can guide you through the process.

... if you have a local smith..

The above is sound advice.

Learning how to do it yourself is an achievement, you can then say you know what to do and how to do it.

That will not make you an expert. You can do it right a few times and still get it wrong the next.

If it's important that it's done right, have it done by someone that specialises in the job.
