Bedding mishap. Advice needed

So I just finished gluing in my Panda action and today I tried to put my rear action/trigger guard screw in and it wont start. After looking in there with a bore scope it looks like the first couple threads got some jb weld in them. I did the initial cleanup but just forgot to get in there after it seeped out some more. What would be the easiest and safest way to fix this?

The screw hole does not go all the way through the action so theres only one way in.
I had screw(s) that were glued in the action before and to remove them I put a little heat to a hex head wrench and it backed the screw out pretty easy. You could probably do the same with a little heat maybe find another screw that you can heat up to melt that glued spot.

Agreed. Chipping away makes sense. Tap wouldn’t hurt to clean out totally.

Take it to a gunsmith.

I would try a dental pic to clean out those threads.

That would be my first try also. I would start past where the JB is, and rotate to follow the thread until you encounter it.

Guess I am missing why you were "gluing" the action in, vs bedding the action. Modeling clay, neutral Kiwi, etc. are your friend. I always use Devcon and I am guessing it will come off the threads easier than JB will.

If you filled the threads with release agent before you started it should know away easily with dental pick or similar. A tap will work perfectly if started on pitch with the threads, not so well otherwise.

Put a #7 or smaller drill in the hole. Heat drill. Turn drill to clean out bedding. Then use 1/4-28 bottom tap to refresh threads.
Next time cut heads off long 1/4-28 screws and leave them in. Again heat those screws and they will pull righ5 out.

Next time try filling it with kroil, let it sit about ten minutes, and i bet it will pick right out with a plastic pick

P:s:. I always put modeling classy in holes i want to stay clean, or a threaded stud screwed in sure helps
