Bedding block

I would be most grateful if you would provide me with a drawing or description for a bedding block:barrel lenght 32" 1.3" diametre,
sincerely
Filippo

Draw that exact diameter on a piece of paper. Then draw a "V" block under it. It can be 45, 60, 90 degree, whatever you prefer. As far as screw spacing, repeater dimensions, you have them at your disposal with your action. Not sure what you are asking for. And whatever you decide, bed it after you have the block made.

You will need an aluminum block wide enough to encircle the barrel, plus 3/8" on each side for the clamping screws. 1/4/28 hex head screws, like 5 on each side, so a block 8-9" long. Bore the hole for the barrel first, 1.36" dia, saw it lengthwise after drilling the screw holes with the tap size drill. Then you can drill the top screw holes with the body size drill, and countersink for heads. Tap the bottom block for the clamp screws. The block will need to be epoxy bedded to the barrel, after bedding the bottom half into the stock. Rough outline of the steps.

Now I understand what he seeks. Not to oversimplify things, could he use some type of spacer system, ie tape to position the barrel in the stock. Bed between the "tape" to ensure a free floated action? Kinda of reverse of what we do on floated barrels. I may be missing something with the description of the aluminum block. No flame meant, hell I may learn something here.

The rifle needs something to hold it into the stock. The aluminum blocks clamp the barrel, leaving the action floating. Remove the stock by unclamping the top block. What you describe is a "Glue in" job, where you remove the spacing after the bedding epoxy sets. Removal of the stock, later, is a job for C-4. Has been done.
