Bedding a Savage-Anshutz 64 Match rifle.

I recently acquired a Savage Anshutz 64 Match rifle and need to see your opinions on bedding the stock..
First, I already know I have an inletting problem with the stock that showed up when I was doing Stock screw torque tests. For every 5 in/lbs of torque on the screws, it moves the group 1-1.5" to the left. should be an easy fix.

Now, I have had conflicting information concerning bedding of this rifle. Some have told me to NOT pillar bed it while others said it is fine. I just need your opinions on to either standard bed it or pillar bed?

Why would pillar and glass-bedding a 64 Anschutz be a bad idea? Since an obvious inletting problem is described, there's doesn't seem to be an an alternative.

actually, I think I found out why they did not recommend pillar bedding. after removing the rail, The stock has a steel insert around the front screw. going to make it harder to bed.

That's a bedding bolt bushing. It's removable. Anschutz Match 54 single shot rifles have them and many shooters pillar and glass bed them. It may be advisable to have someone with experience do the job.
