Beat up "vintage" 223 varmint rifle

I'd like to know where these guys who scoop up these fantastic deal spend their time hanging out~! I'm not snooping in the right places~!

My first rifle, bought by me at a gun show on my eighteenth birthday...

was a used left-hand Sako Vixen in 222.

There was never a left-hand Sako Vixen in their catalog and no dealer could ever find any evidence of one, but it was on a gun show table for sale for $225 including a Redfield scope.

In the next month, got a university professor to write a letter in Finnish to Sako to ask them about the rifle and included several pictures of the rifle.

Sako's reply was... "We have never made a left-hand rifle. We don't intend to make a left-hand rifle. We didn't make a left-hand rifle. But it is obvious that rifle was made in our plant. We don't know how or when."

That Sako Vixen 222 shot great with Sierra 52 HPBT Matchkings and 748 powder.

Killed a lot of prairie dogs with it.

Later bought regular right-hand Vixens in 222 and 222 Magnum in both repeater and single-shot versions.
