Glad your family is okay! As stated, things can be replaced. Accidents like this give us an opportunity to reflect on our values - and sometimes an opportunity to adjust them!

Kaiser Wilhelm II is quoted as having said 'God looks out for drunks, fools, and the United States of America.' I may be guilty of having fallen into the first two categories on occasions, as He has most certainly looked out for me!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes. The wife is doing better today and my little girl is back to her amazing crazy little self. I have good insurance ( hopefully) so all I'm worried about at this time is getting everyone back to 100%.

Several years ago I was a diener (autopsy tech) and I saw all too often what car accidents can do to people of all ages. Just brings back the memories of all those people that were not as fortunate.

Glad your family is ok. My father was always borderline paranoid about the safety of us kids. He didn't overprotect us, he just worried a lot. We gave him good reason to. After I became a father, I fully understood why he worried. He had lost siblings as a child and working construction, he knew how fragile life is. Now whenever I hear a story like yours, it shakes me to the bone. Thank God and keep living right. --Jerry
