Bc'z rattlecan paint job ?

Thanks guys. Despite all my mistakes this has turned out way above my expectations. But why wouldn't it with the guidance of Bc'z and Hntndad.
I would really like to do another one.

Now for my question, this looks so good does it really need the 1000, 1500 then buff? Should I risk screwing it up or leave it the way it is?

thanks for following. Don

Have a great holiday and remember to thank the vets. ;}

Buff it!!
You can probably get away with 1500, personally I use Meguiars 2000 for my final sand.

Sand and buff. Go slow. Using Spraymax leaves a bit more orange peel then a flow coat. 1000 to 1500ish wet sand helps cut that back a little faster then switch to megs 2000.(I’m a big fan) Again, go slow. Use your block (I use HUGE rubber erasers you get at dollar store). CAREFUL around your edges.
Wet sand, wipe off with a towel and blow on it and watch the surface dry up. Look under a glancing light and look for shiny spots indicating low spots. Switch to 2000 and at this point your NOT looking at sanding clear, your just sanding the previous sanding scratches finer to make buffing easier. It won’t take much at all once you hit 2000 grit. Meguire’s 105 followed by 205 can be done by hand after 2000 grit, if you don’t have a buffer or access to professional polishing compounds. Stuff works great and can be had at Wally World, Advanced Auto, harbor freight even carrys it.
