[Captain Long John]

This is an early Bausch & Lomb 8-24 power scope. These scopes were known for their superior glass with the clearest magnification of all other scopes in the post war years. The Scope is in nigh onto perfect condition (99+%) and comes with caps, box & instructions. The scope was previously mounted on a Winchester Model 52 C (22 Long Rifle). I have owned this scope since 1999; I have shot less than 300 rounds with this scope.

Wow. These are some of the nicest scopes ever made. Glass is amazing. On a 52 it is a combination made in heaven. Some lucky person will be happy to adapt it.

Yessssssm they are. The old style scopes only lost favor because the SBR groups instituted weight classes.

The serious advantage; the cross hairs stay centered in the best part of the glass lens.

I know that some serious BR champs shot them on Unertl mounts for even sturdier platform.
I do personally love the feel and look of the barrel adjustment for how unique and elegant it is.
