Battenfield Customer Service

Purchased a Caldwell LR target camera. Purchased from a vendor for a very good price NEW. Well, not so very good, as when I received the item, the camera clamp and arm were broken. Box was sealed but re taped. Shipping label (addressee/ mailing address) removed from previous customer. In my belief, sold and returned do to this issue then priced lower based on this. Contacted the vendor who gave me a 60.00 partial refund. They had no more cameras to replace mine with. I Contacted Battenfield regarding replacement parts. I Offered to pay since a refund was issued. They replaced the parts that were broken and sent me out another Brand New LR camera due to my troubles ( Yes, i have two new cameras). They sent a note in the box thanking me for my purchase of Caldwell products also apologizing for any inconveniences throughout the process. I emailed them asking why they sent me a new camera. They indicated it's for my troubles and enjoy the system. This is way beyond fantastic customer service. These people stand behind their products 100%+++. I'll be giving them my business much more in the future.

Thought Midway USA owned Battenfield. According to Midway, the tech says NO. Hmmm. Caldwell products made by Battenfield and Midway owns Caldwell. Obviously Battenfield makes Caldwell products and must sell them to Midway ??? Not really sure. Assumed wrong.

Battenfield was originally started by Larry Potterfield and given to his son Russ. Russ wound up letting the company go to a hedge fund and, about two to three years ago, the entire Battenfield company was purchased by Smith & Wesson, which is now American Outdoor Brands (AOBC).
They have a website of Battenfield that gives info on all their brands under that umbrella and one product that is new and very interesting is the new "coax-style" press.
I understand AOBC has made a substantial investment in the company and even built a national distribution center in Columbia, MO for most all of the AOBC product line. AOBC now is the holding company for such brands as S&W, Crimson Trace, Taylor Cutlery, Thompson-Center, GemTech Suppressors and others beside the Battenfield brands of Tipton, Wheeler, Caldwell, Bog Pod, Frankfort Arsenal, etc.

For some reason it isn't on he web page yet. It is, however, pictured on Midway, Midsouth and most other places that sell the Frankford Arsenal line of products.
