BAT Machine Trigger Guard weight AL vs SS

Has anyone weighed the Stainless and AL trigger guards from BAT?

I would be willing to bet the SS version would be about twice the weight of the aluminum. I also bet most use the aluminum one to make weight. Matt

Stainless steel is 2.84 times as heavy as aluminum. So if the guard is .6 oz in AL, it would calculate to be 1.7 oz in stainless.

Stainles would not ad much waight, volume of material is too small.
Weight of materials in kg/liter

Steal 7,8
Aluminum 2,75 Billet alloy
Stainles 7,9
Chrome moly 10,28

So the stainles, would be 2.78 times heavier

@ Powderbrake, youre calculation are correct too, for standart aluminum witch is a bit lighter.

Grams: 47.6 = 1.68 Ounces for trigger guard only, no screws.
