BAT actons. 6MM PPC what other calipers could go with?

There is a rifle for sale with a BAT B27 action on a 6MM PPC barrel. I'm wondering what the price of that action with a Jewell trigger might go in $$$ for?

As to calibers, anything ppc plus the Beggs cartridges 30 Major, 6 Grendel , 6.5 Grendel, off the top of my head, without bolt work or rebating rims.

Here is the left side of the action and right hand side of gun. Wonder if anyone can recognize the stock brand??

I don't know on the stock but suspect it has been modified from its original design. A value would depend on round count, trigger and is the gun a "proven" winning rifle.

I have no idea who the owner is and just assumed the barrel would be shot out. I did not know benchrest rifles were judged by the "blue ribbon" past performance. Just wondering what to pay for the rifle with a 35X Leupold and the barrel needs to be replaced.

To possibly answer some of your question, I bought a Borden BR action chambered in 6 PPC and have chambered it in 6 BRA and it is now a 30 BR. The Borden action would extract the little 220 Russian cases that 6 PPC is made from but the bolt faces appears to be .470 ± which can handle 308 size cases. Not sure if the bat is the same way.

Thanks. Still not sure what to pay for the BAT action, trigger, stock and scope? I'd probably go with a 20 PPC or 22 PPC barrel. Something to shoot prairie dogs with and maybe some targets as a hobby. No competition, but wanted to own one of the finest actions.

Thats a very early bat B. Its out of the second batch ever ran. That was when they were a small shop and before the atf made them engrave them to required depth. It is a very sought after action. Some actions are proven winners and some are so so which is why the knowledgable poster above asked about its pedigree. The value on that setup comes from the action and scope- but a gunshop never understands that. Id put a value on it of $2000-$2200. If you plan to shoot it bank on a new barrel before you even get going.

I've got a B33 that belonged to my dad. I'd be interested in the action if you want to sell it.
