Bat action cocking indicator sharp, causes scrapes

I have a couple of Bat actions. One has a sharp edge on the cocking indicator. One seems to stick it a bit further than the other.
Really sticks me when removing the pin/cocking piece.
Any one else seen this or worked a solution on this?
Just kicking the tires on my new rifle.

It serves no purpose, cut it off. I have done it before for those who do not like it.

Strip it to the bare pin and turn it off or grind it off. Or send it to me and I'll do it for shipping costs...

I've seen guys that remove the FP assembly with the palm of their hand instead of using a tool. Maybe the tool isn't so bad?
