Bat action barrel installation on a panda action?

Is it possible to a take a barrel chambered for a bat action in 6ppc and install it on a stole panda action without rechambering?
I am aware of the cone bolt problem and that the shoulder would need relocated.

Panda tenon is shorter... so... more effort than it's worth to try and preserve the chamber, I think.

If you have a reamer chop it off and set the tenon length, and rechamber.

Free bench rest barrel wanted to save the chamber I could rechamber to 6 BR ,1-13 twist.

Scratch that the BR reamer I have supports 105 hybrids I don’t have a reamerThat would support that twist rate.

Don't you mean Panda headspace is longer?
Standard Panda headspace is 1.115" and a Bat SV, B, DS etc is 1.074

A Panda tenon is 1.115. A BAT is shorter, although it has been a very long time since I did one. Plus the cone angle is different.

The cone on a Panda is 30deg and the Bat is 25deg, if you change the cone angle you will need to cut the chamber deeper.

Dinkey Dog, Waldog, Talldog (which is not very darn tall!) all shoot very well and would have a much bigger following if it didn't take an extra step or two to make brass for them.

If I get judged by what is scribed on the side of a barrel I shoot, I'm likely with good friends or my name is rising to the top of the agg sheet. Either way, its okay with me.

Yes. You can do this, but once its in the lathe running the reamer in is not really any more work. Note that the pitch diameter on a panda runs bigger than bat. So a tight-ish panda thread is not going to fit most bats. Other than testing purposes (panda vs bat) I see no reason to bother with all this. Its quicker to start from scratch than try to re fit stuff ime.

Morning everyone,
after thinking about the information posted here and talking to some other peeps, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best thing to do would be rechamber these barrels to a six BR configuration that runs a light bullet supported by the twist of these barrels and make them fit my panda so now I have to get a reamer, my previous place,. I’ve been getting reamers from ,I call and tell what bullet I want to run and they offer me a reamer. I would like to be smarter than that. How do you go to the other places and know what information to say so that you can move into a custom reamer?
