Basic bipod marksmanship w bipod f hunters

After getting knocked in the face by a 338LM rifle I had to go back to basics to stop any beginning flinch.
As well as being a last check before my hunting season I also got to verify everything for one last time.

Some details from bipod shooting that hopefully some hunters also will find useful.

I spent on the average of 2 days a week at the rifle range and I rarely if ever see anyone shooting from a "field position" (i.e. bipod, shooting sticks, off hand, etc.)

Shooting off the bench is fine for bench rest guys or sighting in a new scope or load development but it does nothing to improve your skills for shooting in the field positions.

Would like to see more posts likes yours especially ones from shooters who use shooting sticks and what techniques they have found effective.

Wilco. I use shooting sticks a fair amount. Just never considered making a blog about it but will now. It'll take some time before I manage to find time, hunting now...

I've recently learned how to present HD. All my clips are in HD, but never figured out the formatting-thing. Hopefully the next entries will be better in this regard.
