I bought some burris xtr rings (30mm) the ones with the plastic inserts and the rings mount on a weaver/ picatinny base . The raised rib on the base of the burris that fits crosswise on the weaver is .200 wide. It doesnt fit my older style weaver bases. For the application I'm going to use it on I opened the slot on the weaver type base. It will work, but is this something new or specific to a burris mount. Just wondering. Thanks, Bruce
