base for redfield international sight

Hello all,I am looking for a base to mount on a model 700 action that will work on a Redfield International or Palma rear sight.I have looked on champions choice,champion shooters supply,okweber,nealjguns and acouple of other sites to no avail.Am I just missing whats available or are these bases just not used anymore? Any help would be most appreciated.Thanks,

I used the JK-0010 mount that OK Weber sells on a Remington 700 without any issues even though it says it's for a Model 70. The JK-0009 says it's for a Model 70 and Redfield sights. I'd assume that it will work on a Model 700 too. If you sent OK Weber an e-mail they'll probably be able to tell you.

Call Champion's Choice. I have a base I bought from them that fits my M700 and a Redfield Internaltional and Palma sight.

Champions Choice part no's. RW-490, 590, 670, 800, put a decimal point in front of the number and that's the height. Put the letter E behind the number to specify an extended base.

All fit the M70 and Rem 40x,same as M700)

Don't be so hard on yourself. I've been to CSS & CC lately and sometimes their descriptions ain't all that helpful........but you are good to go now, soldier on.

Jim, a possibility is a Lipski competition rear base on p357 of Brownells catalog #60. It is an overarm base that clamps to a Weaver or picatinny scope base on the receiver bridge. I have put a Lipski AR-15 rear base on a flattop mouse gun. They are well made of steel, and Redfield Olympic, International, and Palma rear sights mount on them. Model WR would be the one for a bolt gun. If you can find the old direct side mount base, it would be better, but if not, look into this option. Also, Weaver grand slam scope bases,p372) are made of steel and not expensive.
