Bart's record setting stock

Back around Christmas time Bart posted a picture of this stock.
I happened to be sippin some Rye whiskey with my brother shootin the breeze and I shot Bart a text telling him I wanted to paint the stock.
Come to find out he shot a .3" group with it @600 yards setting a World record!
I wonder whose bullets he was using?
Anyway 10 coats of dye, followed with 2 coats of rootbeer candy that I toned down with yellow candy.
I want to thank Bart fo ungluing his action and letting me work on this piece of shooting history. I want to say thanks to Bart & Kim Sauter for all that they do for the shooting community.

Love the placement of your logo and that rootbeer/yellow was the ticket. Don’t go using all that up! Save some for me.

Thanks Kevin, under the rudder was really only place to put it being a glue in.
I've got more than enough rootbeer candy to spray a dozen stocks.

Just maple and walnut cleared with a divot here and there. I could see the figure in the picture Bart posted and thought what would it look like in a rootbeer dye job.
So after a couple few Ryes, a text or two with photos we were on our way to a makeover.
The shift in the figure is something to see that pictures dont show, dark brown copper, red, orange, and yellow is amazing!
The lite coats of candy just bring it all together adding a layer of depth.
Hopefully Bart will be shooting with it this season so more people can see it, it truly is a amazing piece.
