Bart’s hammers load data suggestions

Got a box of Hammer 105s in and they look good. Going to be firing them out of an 8 twist 28” 6bra.
Starting with h4895 and br4 primer where should I start with charge weight and seating depth?
Been doing 30.6 with Berger 105 hybrids jumping 25 with some success. Had pressure signs with 31 grains and hybrids jammed 5k.

Thanks

Like Dusty said start at Zero and back out .002 at a time. Then do your powder thing... I shoot 31.0 of H4895 with Barts 105 with no trouble. Maybe the Hybrids are fat and you are jumping a bunch, or your free bore is shorter than my .120 FB. ... jim

start where you're at but you should be able to go on up a bit- you're lower than avg. start at zero and go back from there.

yeah the hybrids are harder to seat I suspect the are slightly fatter. So does anybody jam the Bart’s?

Update
Had good luck with 30.6 jammed 5k and 31 jumping 25. Going to do more tweaking around those and see what happens. Jammed 5k had better vertical of about .1” but all my loads so far have had persistent horizontal. These were about .2” for 6 shots.

Yes, I went in .010 always to see but I end up jumping a few seem best for me, here again your free bore and reamer will change it ..... jim

Am I wrong to believe the horizontal is on the shooter. I always take blame/credit for it when I'm working up loads. I keep working on the vert 'til it's gone

Primer selection can effect horizontal and vertical as well
Thanks. We were told at the class in Williamsport that the ladder test could be used for anything though we just did it for powder charge there. Jason (JB1000) teaches that class and suggested seating depth and primer type/brand (for other ladder tests)

I jammed Barts .005" in and they shot great. I jumped Barts ,010 off and they shot great. Great bullets and maybe a real good gun.

what speeds were you running? I had my best results with 30.6 h4895 but it was slower than I thought it would be with a 28” barrel. Did about 2960.

I recall it being 2940 but need to find the notes. My best Bart's loads have still been with my BRX. I then ran out of Bart's and did not shoot the nationals with the 6BRA/Bart's combo.
I will try to find the book with my chrono and measurements
