Bart's bullets vs. Berger for 6BR

I have been thinking recently about trying Bart's bullets. I don't know anybody who shoots Bart's as they are quite difficult to buy in Europe. So, couple of questions to those using Bart's bullets for competition:
1. I am currently shooting 105gr Berger Hybrids up to 600m. Does it make sense to switch to Bart's? If so, which one (Hammer? Gungnir?)?
2. What would be your bullet of choice for 200m competition? I am planning to shoot 95gr Berger VLDs, but maybe Bart's would be a better choice. I was thinking about 68gr avenger as these are currently available at reloadinginternational.
3. In which aspects Bart's outperforms Berger?

At 1k it makes sense to run customs but at 600 my old Savage 6 BR put out a (10 shot groups ) 3.3 six target agg although not a record it wasn’t too shabby for a non custom 108 Berger sorted BTO

There’s my last 600 yard 2 Gun (8 Target Agg)!

Times have changed, groups and Aggs are shrinking and scores are climbing. If you want to compete at the highest levels of 600 Benchrest you’ve got to have excellent equipment.

I feel that you need all the help to compete with these guy's.
Look at that list, it has some of the top shooters in the country.
Guessing most use custom bullets.
Custom bullets are not that much more than the premium bullets out there.
If your worried about a few cent's, your in the wrong hobby.
Bart isn't a flash in the pan. He's been for years in the running
for SOY or winning it. So I'm guessing he makes a pretty good bullet.
Plus you can talk to him and he will answer your questions.

yes, aggs are constantly shrinking!

Just wanted to point out that SPJ was discussing his 10-shot group target aggs vs 5-shot group target aggs....

I chimed in at the inference that custom bullets make sense at 1000 yards but off the shelf is fine for 600.

Not taking away from SPJs outstanding shooting. But if you want to compete at 600 you’ve got to bring your A game.

NBRSA 600 yard Nationals won with Barts Bullets (borrowed bullets first time Bruce ever shot them)

IBS Nationals 600 yards overall won by Vapor Trail!
LG Group Hunter bullets
LG Overall Barts
HG Group Barts.

See the theme here Custom hand made bullets. There’s something to it. No matter 1000 or 600.

Yes that’s true and the record I was referring to is nbrsa 2.75 Hg 6 target, which I don’t recall having knowledge of at the time. Absolutely no question about the quality of Barts bullets and how having great equipment plays a huge part in small groups, no question at all’ but I suppose my point is if a fella is shooting one minute aggs there might be bigger knobs to turn because Bergers seemed quite capable.
That’s why I asked originally.

I agree! Well said.

+1 Looks like we are all in agreement!

Yep, I gave Bruce a batch of 103 Hammers 3 weeks before the match - some of the first 103s you made back in 2019. Had just enough to give Bruce to get him thru the match :)

This record was shot with Barts 105s in April 2019 in windy Sacramento. I don't recall which 105s.

The brutal truth is Berger has evolved into semi-custom bullet (an excellent one no doubt), and Bart’s are full custom Benchrest Bullets.

this might be of no consequence to the many shooters, but to the true aficionado of extreme accuracy shooting, it is a matter of importance.

I have been thinking recently about trying Bart's bullets…
I too, am considering Bart’s Gungnir’s as per his recommendation for 1000 yd F Class out of a Dasher. I spoke to him a few months ago, he is very nice to speak to, and indicated that jacket material was getting harder to obtain and orders would be several months out…at least. I did order 100 Gungnir’s to try. He said he would try to scrap together 100 from overruns, etc. Anxious to try them out.

Lucky bastard:).

It seems there are only 2 places online which can send me Bart's bullets to Europe- bulletcentral and reloadinginternational. It's quite funny- bullets are in the whole UE an unregulated item. A French guy can order a box of bullets in Germany and nobody cares. You get it delivered per post.
