Bartlein Barrels?

Anyone care to share their thoughts on Bartlein barrels? Seems most other barrel mfgs are in short supply and Bartlein are everywhere. Are they a better supplier? Any issues with quality or performance?

Normally they have a year or so wait. The ones you are seeing were probably ordered early to mid 2012. I just bought my first one but they are known for being one of the better cut barrels available.

Bartlein, Krieger, and Brux are among the best.

Bartlein last I heard takes the longest to get.

I've run Shilen barrels for years, and I'm still a fan, but they didn't have the twist I needed to build my 6XC, as a result I went with Bartlein. Obviously the gunsmith is crucial, but the 6XC shoots fantastic. No regrets. I picked mine up from Robert Whitley (RCW3). Fortunately he had one in stock. It was a little heavier than I needed but oh well. Grizzly Tool also usually has Bartlein.

People have their preferences, but, if you wanted to build a gun quick and you found a barrel in stock that met the specs you were looking for, from one of the reputable shops (Lilja, Krieger, Bartlein, Shilen, Hart, etc. etc. etc.) I'd roll with it.
