Barrel Vise

I want to pick up a barrel vise. Which vise would you guys recommend? I see the Viper is recommended quite often, is there a better option?

Only barrel vise I ever bought or tried has been the Viper. It does everything I want and is easy and simple to use and fasten to your work bench.

Who do you think makes the PMA vise, so much like the Viper Vise? I've been helping Pat for a couple of years. They will be making their own soon when their machines arrive.

You may actually enjoy seeing Viper's barrel vise on your bench, as I do.

I use Larry Scott's vise to take barrels off of factory Remingtons, fantastic for this often difficult job.

Have others also.

Dry Wall tape is fabulous product to use on your barrel.
