Barrel Vise?

Got a Wheeler, used it once and after it was tight enough to brake the nut loose, the barrel squeaked trying to come off. Backed it off and the barrel spun right out. Threw the Wheeler Action wrench in the box and havn't looked at it since. Have replaced at least 12 + barrels and don't bother to use an action wrench any more. Chuck the barrel in a padded vice, (or use barrel blocks) smack the nut wrench with a steel hammer. Barrel spins off. First time CAN be a booger. After that,

Maybe, but if you need to put it back on it won't work.

Of course you can use it to put it back on. If you had a clue of

I didn't, someone re-erected the thread and his comment was in the mix. Although the entire thread was old his negative comment needed to be rebutted. This man cost me potential sales because of his unfounded negative remarks. He kept on w/this until he finally got banned, but it was to late, a lot of damage was already done. LDS

Im pretty sure you can pick up a barrel vice fairly cheaply at Brownells.
Also, Midway has this one on sale.
