barrel twist ID

Hello new to the forum and have a question. How does one go about figuring out what the twist rate is in a 6mm BR barrel? Is there a simple tool that i can make or buy?

Yes, your cleaning rod. Place a piece of masking tape near the handle and mark it on one side with a marker. Run the rod in with a patch and put another piece of tape on at the bore guide. Now push the rod in until the mark on the first piece of tape does a full rotation. Put another piece of tape on at the bore guide. Pull the rod and measure distance between the two unmarked pieces. You now have the the rate of twist.

Thankyou been out of the shootin business for a bout 15 years just got back in after I realized I messed up. sold all 3 bench guns and accesories rests bags everything you name it. whew kind of expensive to get back in the game. Oh well live and learn.
