I have a Zastava M85 that I am interested in rebarreling in .300 Blackout. Current barrel is chambered in 5.56/.223 Rem. The receiver thread is M22x1.5, or I would do this myself. My old lathe is not metric thread capable. Please PM any recommendations or for more details on what exactly I'm looking for. Thank you.

what kind of lathe do you have? Most imperial lathes can be made to cut metric with a 127 tooth change gear, southbend used to sell them.

Possibly your local job shop would let you set it up in their metric lathe being that you know how to cut threads and chamber....they might find it fascinating ...or fit the old threads to a new barell with roll pins .
