Barrel life?

I was just wondering what kind of barrel life a 338 lapua?

I would think it would fair well considering the bore size and no rapid fire as with the kind of charges behind that would surely warm that barrel hot enough to cook on in no time.

My guess is not very long! I was thinking a stiller with a Bartlein pushing a heavy bullet as fast as I can!

I ran about 2000 rounds through my last 338/378 tube (even larger) and still got "hunting" grade accuracy out of it ~1". It's all about how you take care of it.

That's not bad! I just wouldn't want to build it if it was super low round count and done.
