Barrel life of 6 Creed ?

It think barrel life is relative to what you need your rifle to accomplish. An NRA/CMP High Power competitor who needs to shoot perfect scores with a high x-count might declare a barrel to be worn out when it can no longer hold that x-ring during perfect shooting conditions (i.e. no wind, relaxed, off the bench). But that doesn't mean it is useless. Still plenty accurate for hunting big game, plinking at beer cans or other larger targets. That being said, and from my perspective I've found 6.5 creedmoor to give about 3500 rds. For what its worth I expect my 762NATO to deliver up to 5000 and my 556NATO generally run around 5500.

Ebb, those two are inseparable. Of course it's to do with what's acceptable in your own noggin. Your brain looks at the facts and decides based on its goals what is the logical path to get there from here. If the brain is in charge of a body that sucks at shooting it's going to tell that body to pull the barrel earlier. If that brain is in charge of a body that's a great shot it'll be able to wait a bit on pulling the barrel. There is no sport with a hard and fast "pull barrels at X round count" which is what your phrasing sub-textually suggests is going on.

Baddog0302, let us know which one you decided on. Both are excellent choices. If you get a rifle you love to shoot, then enjoy it, don't worry about numbers.

The main issue with barrel life isn't in choosing a 6mm vs 6.5. 95% of the life of the barrel will be determined on what loads you use. I'm using RL17 shooting 87 grainers and the load is hot. I'm paying for it though, I expect I'll be lucky to see 1,000-1,200 rounds through it before it's time for a new barrel.

One of my customers shoots PRS and is a USMC sniper. He keeps excellent data/records and has two barrels he is running in 6 Creedmoor right now. One barrel has 1700 rounds on it and another is at 2070. Both are still shooting lights out for him. His barrel that has just over 2k rounds on it with the same load...when new it was at 2950fps and right now it is at 2920fps.

I feel his barrels on are the upper end of the life but will see where they end up.
