barrel life from 20br

I really want to get into BR, but dislike the short barrel life of 6mmbr, 243AI, and 6.5-284.

I want something I can take into the field and nail critters with pinpoint accuracy all day long and not have to worry about throat errosion, cracking, and crowning...

If I have to neck down, buy bulk brass.. who cares.. I just want something that is rock solid and will last... is 20BR the one?

For barrel life, you're going in the wrong direction with the .20BR. There are several factors involved with bore wear, but expansion ratio is the main component.

Matter of fact, the 6BR is generally very polite on the barrel.

Short barrel life on a 6m BR ??????
The 6br is VERY barrel friendly...
The 30 BR is going to get the most barrel life, but is a bit much for critters....

6br will certainly not wear out your barrel. You can shoot for days and you still won't chew up but 30 something grains of powder for each shot. Not a barrel burner at all. I have two of them and they are good. You will not find a more accurate round to shoot at vermin. very easy to load for also. RG
