barrel lenght

Hi all
I'm looking at cutting my barrel down from 24" down to 20" how much velocity will i loose per" ?
the rifle is a .243 CZ 550 American,
and i shoot 87grn v max and lapua 90grn scenar, both on the same powder 44grns Vhit N160, lapua case, fed 210m,
the reason that i would like the barrel cutting down is I'm having a sound moderator fitted, and with the barrel @ 24" its just too long and heavy,
the lenght of the sound mod is 15" or 380mm,
any help would be gratefully appreciated

15" for a 243 suppressor

I hope some of that length comes back over the barrel!!

if that just screws on the end, and adds 15" to the barrel length, i'd shop around!! No way a 243 can has to be that big!!

with a 243 you will surely loose at least 100fps with 4"

I'd look for a shorter can and keep all the barrel length possible.
