barrel hole?

I removed the front sight from an encore barrel and it left a hole...problem is I stripped the threads while trying to remove the sight. So what can be done to fill this hole in??? Have any of you run into a problem like this before???

The hole can be retapped and/or plugged. Then turned and polished or bead blasted you want even know it is there.
