Hey all! I've been working on cleaning the barrel on my factory 22/250 to firelap the barrel with Tubb's Final Finish bullets. Mind you, I only have 133 rounds down the barrel on this rig and, I thought I was diligent and thorough on my cleaning of the barrel. It would take me atleast a half hour and sometimes as much as an hour to clean the barrel after a session. Well I decided I wanted this barrel "squeaky" clean before the firelapping and I just can't seem to get all the carbon out. I've been cleaning on this barrel four a couple hours a day for the past few days and the black s@$t just keeps coming. Is there any end to this or am I on a futile journey?
I've thrown everthing at it that I have at my disposal. I've used Butch's, Shooter's Choice, Hoppes 9, J-B paste, brake cleaner, carb cleaner, and this may sound odd but even tooth paste. Nothing seems to get all that crap out. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Mike
