I have a blank I picked up several years ago and am considering using. It was sold to me as a Hart and was/is in a Hart box. It has a code stamped on the end and I'm asking if anyone can shed some light on what it's telling me. "X2312 6". I'm pretty sure it's a 243, but don't understand the rest. Can anyone help? I'll try and attach a pic.

They usually marked the length of the barrel with a black permanent marker too. Twist, caliber.

Is it a six groove barrel?
Looks like the Hart's I have or have used. Call them tomorrow and they will tell you what you have.
Serial number of the barrel. Call Karen tomorrow and ask her. They have the records. Looks like the way Hart marks theirs
