Is Barnard of NZ officially dead? Those actions are held in such high regard, that it is a shame if they are out of business. If anyone has information about the company, please share. Thanks, James
You are right to not hold your breath![]()
It def isn't business as usual unless you mean the ongoing shambles. So what information do you have to suggest there is an issue at Barnard? My understanding is that it is business as usual.
You could try this guy. Often has parts but his supply will inevitably dwindle.I am looking for a firing pin for a model p 223 bolt, if any inventory was/is available. How would one find out?
Yes - Remington triggers, Production actions won't have the bolt fluting as standard (or at all). Ian was using a Trigger Tech Diamond last weekend at the Te Puke championships. Although it fits a Barnard profile stock, there are improvements, particularly a smoother primary ejection , dual ports- left and right, that is and a nitride finish. Mine's ordered - with a red anodised bolt handle. There's also talk of a Rem 700 footprint single shot.Very interesting. I can see the Barnard influence. Also notice the Trigger Tech trigger attached so it must accept Remington design mounting. Excellent!
If I don't have mine there, Ian May will be at Trentham. Will you have it in January for Nationals? I'm looking forward to seeing one.
I'm currently shooting the prototype and loving it, I'll be at the nationals with it.Will you have it in January for Nationals? I'm looking forward to seeing one.
