Barnard mod P vs mod S

I want to use a Barnard mod S on a Broughton barrel with a Scott Mcree stock because it has the Remington footprint. The mod P has a bigger diameter and I am worried that the Mod P might be more accurate. Have I got I wrong?

Hi caspir I have both models and I am very happy with both. The ony difference is the P action is bigger and comes with a trigger. You will be happy with your S action

I don't think any knowledgeable shooter would disagree that both Barnard actions lack anything in the accuracy arena. The P is a larger diameter & thus has a stiffness advantage if you're of a mind to hang a heavy profile barrel off the front end, and/or are interested in shooting hefty cartridges like the 6.5-284 & up.

If you're a sling shooter the P has a weight premium that could be tiresome on the line though at the same time offers an advantage where recoil's a factor.

For the money I don't think either one is a bad choice.

Hi Casspir,

I asked Barnard a similar question....upshot is, not so much which is more accurate as there won't be a difference, it is more about the stock, profile of the barrel and weight requirements. On this note they responded very quickly to my emails so just email them.
