Banner Day

How exactly would one determine BC? We better ask Brian. And is there a difference if one uses an over the shoulder vertical velocity generation or a thrust/jab? Inquiring minds want to know.

Quick update: Just in from an all day with another forum member. 16 more sent to that big alfalfa field in the sky. Details to follow later in week after we complie the video and photos, and finish up with another day out there on Monday. That brings my total to 59 and if i count the ones shot by friend and daughter, i think it is 71...

And I think I got the BR figured out.

Your shooting partner told me that you guy`s had a terrific day......congrats.

Phil.

UPDATE: July 4th....

Fredo returned today after a solo hunt yesterday that bagged 5 for him. We shot two different fields and had a very successful day. It was hot as a buzzard butt and I am totally toast. I had Fredo shooting his 17 Predator and his 6x45. I did shoot 2 today and I honestly don't recall how many he shot, but it was around 10. After a bit it just ran together and my mind is as sunburned as my face! I will let him report when he gets all the photos and video uploaded later this week. Several notable kills at about 500 yards with the 6x45. I think we tapped out two farms for this year (I left about 12-15 for seed on one farm and half dozen on another farm and that should turn into a pile by 2018 when I return hard to these two farms). I think I will take a few days off...I am tired!

First off, BIG THANK YOU to Parker!!!
Will say this, I've NEVER experienced so many woodchucks in one spot. Just incredible to behold!!!

I'm shot, too...its hard work having that much fun!!! 31 chucks is alotta action to digest! And I know I missed my fair share. Thankfully, those dummys popped up again later on & we got most of 'em cleaned up... ;)

Will get some stuff uploaded in the next couple days...

Quick one of snert taking the .17Predator for a test drive. We got 6 here, from 50-~200-ish yards. Ironcially, he'd already whacked over 20 chucks off this field!!!!
200yd 'chucks are like takin' candy from a baby with the lil' laser beam: 30Golds @ 4070fps (notice the badazz .220Swift in the background)...

One from my farm, this was a toad! Belly crawled for like 300yds to get into position...

Here's a nasty one, 6.5SAUM/140JLK @ 3070fps. Got some impressive airtime with red goo flying everywhere...

more to come!

Went walking today with the 22 K-hornet. I got 6, then another with the 22 PPC. K-hornet shots ranged from 10 feet (yes, I did) to about 210 yards. The PPC shot was 263 yards and finished off a chuck Fredo left for me after educating it. I had one unexplained miss with the K-hornet at 93 yards and two operator error misses with the PPC. Overall not bad and I am up to 68 now. Lots of chucks still around the edges and I discovered where they are all coming from...a housing development that had several lawns that looked like PD fields...hogs all over just munching away, only 50 yards over the hill from where these beanfeilds start. Apparently the homeowners are ok with the infestation. I am too...makes for more targets next year! ;)
