I was going to purchase a baush and laum balvar scope 6-24-40 but the gentleman didnt know how much elevation they have, one article on here said 26 moa. If anyone knows the elevation adjustement and the click value i would be grateful. marc m This is scope with internal adjustment. They are very good glass.

I wish that I had an answer for you. I'm trying to sell one now because I bought its twin in the original box with papers, additional target turrets, and two sunshades. Click value is 1/8 MOA. They are absolutely great. They're bright, crystal clear, and the glass is not good, It's excellent~! Believe me when I tell you that you will be more than pleased if you buy one~!

It’s pretty easy to determine the elevation and windage MOA if you have the scope in hand.
Bottom the turrets out and then count the number of MOA it takes to top the turrets out.

I understand how good they are in clarity I dont have in hand want to buy but have been told 18 to 26 moa, thats not much and i was putting on rimfire, just hoping to know even 26 moa wont go 50 to 200 on rimfire. If COLT 45 COULD check would be grateful. Hoping they have 30 plus moa. Thank you for the help.

Sorry, there are only 26 clicks~!! Seems to me that if shooting at long distances regularly at shim under the mount would fix that for the long shots. How often do you shoot 10 shots at 50 yds then reload and shoot again at 200~??
Each click is 1/8th MOA~!

Article was correct. Adjustment click 1=1/8th MOA. Fine cross-hair reticle, SAKO mounts and rings and a 4" sun-shade. SAKO rings and mounts will cost over $100 today if you can find them.
The scope is still for sale. Don't have the SAKO any longer so I bought another B&L 6-24 NIB to use on one of my other rifles. Paid more for the new acquisition than I've ever paid or ever will pay for a scope.
When these were made they were absolutely the best of the best, then Leupold came along with a much better marketing strategy causing interest in the B&L to fade. Side by side the B&L out-shined the Luppy, and I still think that's true today.

I have a Leupold VX111 6.5-20x40 and one by 50mm with a 30 mm tube . I also have 2 B&L 6-24 Balvar. The glass in the B&L's are much better than the Leo's. IMO.
That's very reaffirming since I have two of the B&L 6-24s. Seems like Luppys are the only thing I see being sold on this site and others. Is owning one some kind of a status symbol~?

Finally, FINALLY figured out how to send pictures to an email address. So if you want to see pictures of the B&L rings and mounts on the scope I'm selling, I need your email address and can send them to you.
