Grizzly Bald Eagle rests start at $275 and they have at least a 5% coupon on top of that.
If looking for an aluminum type rest, Protector has a very nice one
and cheaper then the Grizzly. With bags, it would be a one stop shop,
other then the new top. Check around for a used BE. Quite a few out
there. What ever you want to buy, check with Butch on the compatibility

Sold a Bald Eagle (not an original) rest last fall if this helps. Shipping was almost $60. It sold fast.
Bald Eagle cast iron windage Y rest. The windage cable has been removed and not available. Base actually weighs 2 more pounds than my original Bald Eagle slingshot. Includes 3” Bald Eagle bag. $225 shipped. First “I’ll take it”

I'd be curious where you are getting your prices for the Bald Eagle. The base is more than $80 and when you say base, that doesn't include the mounting post, knobs, adjusting shafts and probably about 25 or 30 other part to make the unit work with any top. $107 isn't going to get a usable Bald Eagle base.

From their website. I was under the impression that you only needed the base to make the shadetree top work.

There'd be a few more bits but even if it could be pieced together cheaper I'd buy yours and be shooting instead of waiting on shipping from two different vendors.

I have a bald eagle cast steel front rest with one of butches tops. great set up, nice and solid I will say it can be a bit tall. Or better put, there are times when I wish the top would go lower. I keep mine for my customers and company to use

Lee, I put my Bald Eagle base in the mill and milled the bottoms of the 3 legs. You could do it with a hacksaw as it really makes no difference other than looks.

I have a wedge shaped [a shingle] wooden block with sandpaper stapled to each side and put under my rear bag if needed, on the bench.
